Lena Laughter

Lena Laughter brings more than thirty years of experience in the medical field to PrimeHealth Asheville, with a comprehensive view of practice management built across a wide range of healthcare roles.

Lena paused her career for a stretch to raise her children before returning to family practice — first working with Dr. Gardner for two years, then helping him stand up Apple Valley Family Medicine, and now contributing to the patient-care mission of PrimeHealth Asheville.

A Western North Carolina native, Lena has been married for forty years and is the proud mother of two adult children and grandmother to three young granddaughters. Outside the office she enjoys hiking, mountain biking, fly-fishing, wildlife management, traveling, quilting, reading, and event planning.
